Having a direct stake there is what lets me price these at around half of what they would normally sell for. The pocket is finished producing, so this group is all there will ever be.

Of everything I am listing from this lot, this one has the best luster.

Clarity: Gem clean. Wide open transparency with a clean look straight through the crystal.

Luster: The best in this lot. The faces are mirror sharp and throw light hard from any angle. On a crystal this clean it makes the whole piece read like glass.

Color: Achroic through the body, with that soft icy clarity the pocket is known for. Laser purple comes up face on and the side view turns a clean blue. Under an LED screen it shifts purple to blue with gold running through it.

Form: A tall, flat sided crystal with excellent proportion and a clean angled termination. The indent near the top right is completely natural growth, formed that way in the pocket, and there is no damage anywhere on the piece. Every face is original and intact.

Treatment: Completely unheated and untreated.

An achroic tanzanite with gem clean clarity and luster at this level is about as good as this material gets. With the pocket done, there is nothing else coming behind it.

Video one shows natural lighting.
